This book starts off with present day but in order to really understand what happens we need to go to the beginning of the relationship between the two main characters Chamberlain and Katie.
Let just say I loved these two together. They come from two different ends of the spectrum with him being a fighter and her being the daughter of a politician. This book had me smiling and almost giddy when they first meet each other and then as their relationship grows I find myself cheering them on more and more. So much chemistry between the two and some hot steamy scenes. Chamberlain also was pretty swoony. However there is quite a bit of drama as well and I wonder if they could weather the storm. It seemed at one point to be coming from all sides whether it was his side or hers. The farther I got into reading this book the more my heart would pound just knowing that eventually "The Shoe" would drop and boy does it drop. I am dying for the next book. I need to know how this story continues.

When the book first starts, we find that KC is living a life that she never thought that she would. That she has been banished from a powerful family because she didn't belong, and that there was more to the story, but that was to come later. She is a homebody, that goes to work and takes care of business as well as she can. She lives with an aunt nicely away and sequestered from the family that disowned her so long ago.

On a rare night out with her best friend, one of her worst fears is realized, when she comes across an old love. Someone who she never thought that she would ever see again.

Her story unfolds from here. Going back four years in the past, we get to know and meet KC and Chamberlain. We learn of their love and their loss. What will come of them? How will they overcome the past?
I don't even know where to start. I have so many words and thoughts about Predator - Part One - yeah I know there is a part two so just prepare yourself now. It's not that bad though. Ok so, I have so many thoughts about this book and my feelings that I don't know how to get them all out without going on forever.

Predator is raw, filled with angst and drama, heart break and heartache. Then there is also love and romance thrown into the mix and you are left speechless. K.C. and Chamberlain's story was everything and then some.

Brooke May, my heart hurt for K.C. The things she had to endure and for her to be the young, amazing woman she was is an amazing feat. I felt every emotion she had whether it was good or bad and damn her spunkiness had me in stitches so many times. Then you bring Chamberlain into the picture and hot damn if you didn't just want to wrap him up and bring him home with you. Not only is he a sexy as hell boxer but he has a soft side to him as well that just has you swooning all over the place.

K.C. And Chamberlain's story is an emotional and rocky one but damn if I wasn't drawn it from the beginning and left breathless at the end. A definite must read in my book. Gotta get book two now...
This book gets you hook from the first pages. The plot is well written and very well paced. The post twist is a little predictable but it makes the story that much better. KC’s mysterious past grabs your attention and doesn’t let you go. Chamberlain steals your heart in seconds. Their chemistry is off the charts and leave you wanting more. KC shows how young and naive she is with the decisions she takes but it makes her more relatable. Chamberlain comes at you fast and his past has you fall even more with him. At this he angry is too intense and unneeded. The other characters are all well written and developed. I love to hate some more than other and make the book well rounded. Overall I very much enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to readying the next book. Can’t wait to see how it all ends!
Be ready for this book to grab hold of your life and not let it go! The characters are so real and refreshingly unique, you will be pulled in from the start! The raw emotions and tense situations these characters find themselves in has left me spinning! Do not miss meeting Chamberlain, who will steal your heart, and Katie, who you will be constantly rooting for, because you will regret it! This part one feels like a full length novel, until the very end when you realize the story (and struggle) has only just begun!
To start, this book was unexpected. I've read the author's 3 previous books and loved them. But.. this one is so different. In such a fabulous way. This one was grittier and sexier. This book left me begging for more. Can't wait for the next one!
Let me start by saying I NEED BOOK TWO ASAP! and someone needs to throat punch Zoey and Gwen, Bitches.

Okay, now to my actual review. I loved it, all of it.
I was completely surprised by it. I fell in love with the characters easily. Though, the storyline is a bit predictable, I can't complain.

Brooke May is a new author for me and by this book alone I know I'll be reading anything else she's written and will right.
