This is honestly one of my favorite science fiction books. It really gets you thinking and I like the way it plays out. That being said, the sequels are not good. They're the same story with slightly different elements and the writing seems to take a dive.

In great condition!
This has always been one of my favorite books. Imaginative story with likable smart characters. A good way to Sierra yourself into Alan Dean Foster's galaxy of adventures!
One of my favorite Foster books. I've read it more times than I can remember. I'm an avid reader and after about a 100 or so books I return to this as to an old friend. It's one of the first Thranx and Human encounters.
This first meeting of the Thranx and humanity is a must read for anybody who has read the Flinx or Commonwealth books writtend by Mr. Foster. It lays a solid foundation for all the later books he wrote in the Commonwealth universe.
I love this book. It's been a while since I read it since I got it from a friend but if you like sci-fi, you'll like this book!!
I read this book when I was a teenager and it have me an different perspective in life. I highly reccomend it!
For the first half of the book, this book was very enjoyable. The problem came with the repeat in the tale twice, and the ending resolutions that seemed way too easy. However, the society of the Thranx was super interesting, and I wish we got to see more of it!
